The bean...

We started off our Friday with a walk to Millennium Park to check out the Cloud Gate sculpture (aka the bean). As we entered the park we were immediately greeted by the Jay Pritzger Pavillion, which is one of the most amazing amphitheaters I have ever come across. The park is littered with beautiful views with every step you take and direction you turn. I couldn't decide what I wanted to capture with a photograph first: the amphitheater, the gardens, the bean, the city skyline, or the view of Lake Michigan.

Next we headed to the Buckingham Fountain. The Buckingham Fountain is one of the largest in the world. It was breathtaking.

Sonny and I decided to take a brief break from all of our walking and grab some sushi for a late lunch. We literally had to eat and run because we had tickets to go on an architectural boat tour. The tour was an excellent way to view the architectural landmarks of Chicago. We had already experienced the view from foot by walking the city, and from above whilst enjoying the amazing view at the Hancock Tower. Now we were able to obtain another perspective of the landmarks by viewing them from the water. Well worth it!
As soon as we finished the boat tour we ran off to the grocery store. We were invited to a rooftop party and we were supposed to bring paella. After obtaining the proper ingredients we went home and threw together an amazing paella (no thanks to me, he he). The party was a lot of fun. Sonny's friends were really nice, and the view was spectacular.

More to come...
